CDS Interface is offering an “Enhanced Summer Residential Program” for tweens and teens who are arguing with their parents, acting out, breaking the rules, and struggling with behavior and attitude issues.  Youth typically stay at one of our Interface locations in Gainesville, Lake City, or Palatka for 2-5 weeks.

Activities include the usual Interface group and individual counseling that goes on year round.  But Interface is adding activities from “Why Try?” – an internationally acclaimed curriculum that focuses on teaching important life skills using all major learning styles.   Youth participants at Interface will also enjoy summer fun with field trips, arts & crafts, games, and guest speakers.

All meals and activities are included with no cost to participants or their families.

Parents with adolescents in need of improving behavior and attitude can call Ms. Thompson at (352) 244-0618 to see if Interface is a good fit for their children.  In Lake City call (386) 487-0190.  In Palatka call (386) 385-0405.

If children are too young for Interface or a residential program isn’t appropriate, please call (352) 244-0628 x3822 to see if CDS out-patient Family Action Counseling or SNAP (Stop Now and Plan) classes would be helpful and suitable.  Again, there is no charge for the counseling or classes.
