Interface Youth Program

Volunteers are needed every day of the week to help youth develop social skills while also assisting shelter staff. Your support can make a significant difference in the lives of these young individuals.

Safe Place

CDS proudly serves as the local Safe Place provider, overseeing over 90 Safe Places in Alachua County. These sites require annual checks to ensure compliance with our protocols, providing optimal support for the youth in our community. Volunteers play a crucial role by visiting these sites and verifying adherence to our standards.

SNAP Program

Assist with evening classes designed for children aged 6-11 and their parents. This program focuses on helping families develop effective strategies for behavior management and conflict resolution. *SNAP volunteer positions are currently filled.

Prevention Programs

We need volunteers during the school year from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Additionally, volunteers are welcome to contribute to our summer camps, offering valuable support and engagement to our youth during the summer months.

Community Outreach

Contribute to our resource development, marketing, fundraising, and community outreach activities. Volunteers can also help with various office tasks, playing a vital role in the smooth operation and expansion of our services.
